I have been in the counselling sector for a number of years now. During my time I have experienced a wide range of clients. I have worked for a few counselling agencies over the years such as Mind, along with working in the NHS and private work. I am now predominately self employed as an affiliate counsellor for many employee assistant programmes along with being Bupa Recognised. I am also a member of the Counselling Northwest and their social media co-coordinator
The main presenting issues I work with are Anxiety, Depression, Bereavement, Low self esteem, Post - traumatic stress, Relationship difficulties, Anger management.
Other areas of work include working with sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, schizophrenia, self-harm and addiction.
As a fully qualified Counsellor and Accredited Registered Member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) I adhere to the code of ethics put in place by the BACP while continuing to develop my personal and professional development.
To be able to meet my client’s needs and adapt to my clients, I have trained in other areas which have provided me with the skills and techniques to work as an integrative therapist.
