About Me

I have been working as a psychological therapist for the past 10yrs working in and around the North West. During my time I have experienced a vast range of clients. As well as becoming the founder of Seasons Counselling & Psychological Therapies. Some of the most recent work I have done has been with employee assistance programmes including the BBC staff/producers/presenters, NHS staff, and for SMG supporting MEN and the Little Mix concerts after the MEN terror attack back in 2017.

Over the past couple of years I have been working on a Through the Gate Project working with ex offenders covering a number of presenting issues such as Addiction, PTSD, Anxiety and Depression.

I have worked for a few counselling agencies over the years, along with working in the NHS (IAPT) team. I am trained in a person centred way, which allows me to work with the client from their frame of reference while also having the skills to integrate coping techniques and use psycho-education.

Other therapeutic models which I integrate into my Person Centred Counselling when needed are CBT, Solution focused, life coaching and NLP.

I am a accredited, registered member of the BACP, Bupa Recognised and a member of the Counselling Northwest.
I work with private self referrals, insurance companies, businesses, health care sectors, EAP's and community charities .

What is Counselling?
Counselling is a form of talk therapy, usually held in a 1-2-1 setting. A place where you can share and explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours at ease and confidentially. A therapist can help you to see things that you may not have previously been aware of, while also helping you to see things from a different perspective. They can help you to work on making changes or accepting something that you may not be able or ready to change. You may explore ways of coping and managing situations or difficulties. Going for counselling can seem like a terrifying experience if you have never been before. A therapist should offer you qualities such as, having a non judgemental approach, so you can feel at ease and share any concerns or difficulties that you may be experiencing in confidence, without fear of being judged . Along with these qualities, good use of listening and reflective skills are used to help you gain the most out of your experience, along with other counselling skills which are used, depending on your reasons for counselling, which are tailored to meet your needs.

Counselling helps you to feel settled, promotes self awareness and increases confidence.
